Maggie Copeland Art

 

Maggie is a Mixed Media artist and photographer, who was born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and currently resides in Bedfordshire.  She studied Contemporary Fine Art Practice and in 2012 gained a BA (Hons) Degree.

Maggie's art practice consists of mixed media, textiles, felt making, printing and photographic based imagery.  She has a love of exploring different materials and techniques within her field. 

She has been spending time expanding her studio and has turned to mono print/printmaking and collograph, enabling her to play extensively with texture. This side of her work contains an element of surprise as no piece is the same.

Her main influences are travel, nature, light and texture, the exploration of what Mother Nature has to offer through the camera lens, which is then used as inspiration for her work.

Maggie volunteers at the Workhouse at least once a week and is an active member during hanging and setup of exhibitions.

She is a member of the Artists Network Bedfordshire and is an active volunteer Hub Leader for them. Please see their website at www.artsnetbeds.org.uk.
